hi guys. is there any difference in running expensive SHORT rca's, like less than 3 feet and Y-splitters over running just the cheapest you can find, and by cheap i mean like a buck or 2 at the dollar store?? its not that im trying to be cheap, just curious. i mean, they will be hidden and they are very short. will i see any difference in performance over buying 7-10$ ("Y" splitters/foot long rca's) over just those black cheap sets?? since they are running such a short distance , would there be any problems, like whine or noise from cheap ones?? thnaks

More expensive RCA's will have better construction quality, usually...better quality connectors, shielding, jacket material.
well basically i knew that part about it, but i mean will you tell of any difference if car A used expensive ones and car B used cheap ones as far as performance? i cant see it , being such a short distance. but i dont know. maybe someone has a bad experience with them??

Well if theres electrical interference in the RCA (Alt Whine, etc.) you could upgrade it to one with more shielding / cost more money. But if you cant notice any audible diference in a cheapo 1 dollar rca cable then just leave it.
