Well i was finally finishing my system puting the subs an the amp rack in. It all

looked soo nice : )... until my dumb ass took a hot wire an brushed it on the

trunk by accident it did a light spark nothing crazy, I was parying everything

was ok... But ofcourse it wasnt i got in the car all ready to bump an my buddy

tells me the my dash lights wernt on. I was like **** a fuse must have blew

the i realised my dimmer was down, so i turned it up the lights went on for a

sec or 3 then blew out all the leds on the dash,ac,doors went out i was like

****. Stoped at the 7-eleven to change rca's b/c the one's i had in were ****.

Got it hitting pretty hard i was happy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif after waiting about 5 months. So

we went back to my house to try an fix the leds trying different fuses an ect.

all of the sudden my friend turns the car on after i put in a new fuse an my

kicker amp is on ****KKING? fire i smelt the smoke opened then trunk, To

see the white smoke of death. I have no idea wtf happened ugh im pissed.

No fuses to the amp poped everthing was fine.... Just a crispy amp..

O BTW im drinking my self to sleep tonight : )

Any reason you didn't have the fuse out while working on your gear? I assume the hot wire was fused...

what a depressing story, I know how you feel, I've had my share of ups and downs with this ****, you'll have your stuff all fixed up and sounding how you want it sooner or later and one day you will indeed laugh about this

Many moons ago I was working on a friends Trans-Am putting an equalizer in for him and he told me which wires were what in his system. Uh..yea...

I was in a hurry and didn't check things out for myself (NEVER trust anyone! CHECK for yourself!!) so when he turned the key back to accessory to power up and check out the system we smelled smoke and his 6x9 speakers in the rear deck started smoking and actually caught fire!

He dumped a coke on them he had to put out the smoke and flames!

The wire he told me to use was 12v and not speaker so it put 12v right to the 6x9 speakers!

He didn't blame me but I learned real fast to never trust anyone with your wiring and always double check it.
