Sheriff Investigating Electrocution
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating an electrocution that happened Tuesday afternoon.
Officials said a painter, 43-year-old Douglas Wright of Greenville, was working at a home on Wolfe Road near Richmond, when the ladder he was using came in contact with some electrical wires.
They said the homeowner saw a flash of light and called for help.
Wright was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
