shocked by speaker wire

Hurts like a mother dont it..Iv done it on a 700watt amp and it hurt like hell...

Then i hooked up a capacitor in my buddies car and he was a dumbass and

pressed the ground to the positive and vica versa WHILE i was holdin it...

talk about pain...not only did it shock me....i got flash burn and couldnt see

for bout 20 minutes. I know how u feel and then some.

I don't know about you guys but, I've never been shocked by speaker wire! I guess my tolerance level is a lot higher.

(I)Amps=Current - Kills you

(V)Volts=Pressure of electricity

(P)Watts=Power

®Resistance=ohms

(L)Inductance

(F)Farads=Capacitance

120Vac only shocked you? dang - I've yet to try it on speaker wire...

when I was 6 i stuck a housekey in an ac outlet while my mom was washing some clothes and that electrocuted the hell outta me...but I'm still here...lol

doesnt electrocuted = being shocked to death.

as in drowning.. if you drown, you died by being under water and being asphixiated

right?

from dictionary.com

e·lec·tro·cute ( P ) Pronunciation Key (-lktr-kyt)

tr.v. e·lec·tro·cut·ed, e·lec·tro·cut·ing, e·lec·tro·cutes

To kill with electricity: a worker who was electrocuted by a high-tension wire.

To execute (a condemned prisoner) by means of electricity.

actually me and my friend were sticking our fingers in a light socket.

It only made or hand "vibrate" and we didnt even get shocked... maybe it wasnt 120v...... we were drunk though.

WTF!!! That **** hurt.. just 300 watts, I would hate to feel it with 1200watts
Felt equivelent to a 120volt

While Im here, what really is watts? What voltage/amperage?
Watts is the combination (product) of volts times amps.

300 watts into 4 ohms is about 35 volts. You can feel that (as you found out).

I got shocked holding some wires down but nothing major. just like hey wtf its starting to hurt kind of feeling. Nowhere near the pain of me getting burned by touching my friend's RF amp LOL.

watts is joules per second, also watts = amps x volts

amps is coulombs(sp?) per second, a coulomb is 6.25 x 10^18 electrons

volts = amps x ohms

Ac is 110 volts, this will possibly knock you down most likely only sting alittle. Now my fish tank lights run off of 220volts this will literally make you bleed if you accidently get them wet. 12 volts shouldnt do any thing to you unless there is 100 amps running threw it as well!!!

i used to get shocked like a motherf*cker in electronics 11, nothin ever happend, u jus get woken up in the mornin (120v ac, alternating current, its f*cked)

edit: oh ya 1 time my buddy got shocekd for like 5-10secs and all the lights in the room dimmed, he jus sat down for 20mins ahhaha

T-taps wiggle loose and give static when they do. Posi-taps are too fancy. I just peel a bit with a wire stripper and wrap the splice on that...

We don't have enough info, but I'm pretty sure you got something out of phase. When you fade to one side or the other the phase issue disappears.

I went with Kenwood Exelon. Audio Control amp and speakers. It’s amazing! I’m glad I did some research before buying. Thanks guys.

Yes. Only thing is the leads will be encased in resin. Keep in mind that this is an assumption.
