I know most of these questions have been answered 1000 times already, but here we go.

I've been looking at buying an adire audio shiva, but I don't feel confident buying something I haven't heard before. What is one comparable to? A Type R?

What would be the best amp to provide enough watts to the sub for the cheapest amount of money?

I want both SPL and SQ, mainly SPL, am I going to get enough sound with just one?

Also, what would be the best place to buy a siva from?

buy your shiva from jlaine he's a member on this forum that is a registered adire dealer. 125shipped to your door from him. now i would say get yourself 2 shiva 12"s and a jbl 1200.1 if you want very good power per dollar ratio without all the bells and whistle's that the top end amps have. if you want just 1 shiva then i would still get the jbl 1200.1 just in case you think you might get a 2nd shiva later. hope that helps some anymore questions ask people on here are very helpful.

I would agree. The Shiva's are some pretty amazing subs.

I just installed 2 in my car from a JBL 1200.1.

In comparison, the Type R does have comprable output, however, it is definately lacking in the SQ area. The Shiva's are by far more accurate and clean. Their overall Excursion and SPL are equally impressive.

You need not have any worries about purchasing a Shiva, they are certain to leave a good impression.

I'm on a tight budget, so I think that I will be getting just one. What sub would you suggest for one? JBL 600.1 (if there is one)?

I think Josh said that 400w RMS + compression issuse's arrise. I think he also said that you wont notice much of a difference over 400 RMS. I would send it anywhere from 300 - 500 RMS if it was me.

To add onto what has been said already, the Adire products we sell are backed by a 30 day return policy. You don't like what you hear, send it back and we'll refund you on your purchase.
