Hi Everyone, I have been out of the car audio game for years and am considering getting back in. I have a 2012 Tundra Crewmax and it seems like my options are somewhat limited. I have searched a ton and it seems like JL, RF, Dayton, and Alpine get some love, but it also seems like this class of subs is lower RMS (obvious reasons) or pricey (hello JL). I have ran RE, memphis, Diamond, JL, Kicker, etc in the past. One of my favorite setups was 2 RE SE 15s (older version), but recently sold these since there was no way they would fit. I dont want to lose too much backseat leg room, but I am open to listening to options that may require a couple of clicks forward. A smaller depth "normal" sub would be interesting. I have done some research on this as well. I would love to make an older version 10SX D2 work, but I cant seem to find any. I know JL is love or hate; the TW5s look nice, but I have trouble with that price tag - also seem to see good and bad reviews. The TW3s get a good amount of love, but I have an older RE 12.1 amp and am worried that may be too much for them (1200 @ 1 ohm). I have usually gone with 15s, but I am thinking 10s or 12s are going to be the ticket. Also open to hearing opinions on ported vs sealed - Tundra Crewmax experience would be nice to hear. Looking for a SQL setup. I have not focused on a new HU yet. Piece by piece. Thanks in advance!
