seriously how hard

so i am interested in putting an alarm on my car and was wondering seriously how hard is it to put and alarm in? if i have the instructions and the wirering schmatic in front of me? or do u think i am better off trying to get one of the guys i know at bestbuy to help me put it in on the side and throw him $50?

never installed an alarm, but I have heard it can get complicated, what features do you plan on doing with it, keyless entry, door actuators, trunk opening, etc., or are you doing just a basic alarm? if you are just doing a basic alarm you'll probably be able to do it, but if you want to get all the features your alarm package is capable of I'd suggest you have one of your boys supervise to be on the safe side, throwing one of them 50 bucks ain't a whole lot for help on an alarm install and you'll also learn how to do it right

do you have a trunk pop button in ur car? even so $50 isn't much for help on an alarm install... unless it's someone you know well...

Im more of a DIY man and have installed several alarms. If you got the money, pay someone else to do it.

Putting in alarms is a part of my job, but I would still pay someone else to do it.

most shops charge about $100 to do alarm+keyless... i'm chargin one of my friends $75 to do one in his car... only cuz it's a 91 accord... and everyone knows how easy old hondas are

What kinda car? If its the jeep you mentioned in your sig I think you should pay tha $50.

Just pay someone to put it in. An alarm will only protect your car if it works properly.....and IMHO it's best to just lay down the money necessary to insure that it works.

Plus, if you get one of the mid-level DEI alarms and have it installed professionally, it comes with a lifetime warranty as well as a theft protection guaranty. That's not something I'd want to give up either.

if its a shop then you would get some kind of warrenty correct?

if you got the money go with help from someone else or a shop
