Ok, I'm letting this go. I've now got one for the car and one for the house, so it's time to let this one go.

Some days back I made a quick a dirty review of the subs I've owned so far, the Sonicraft included:

Madisound has the specs and pdf for the subwoofer:

It's one of the more enjoyable subs I've owned, almost completely transparent, great impact that kicks you in the chest. It's a bit of a large box woofer being ideally 3 cu.ft. sealed and 6 cu.ft. ported, but it's usable in a good deal smaller enclosure both sealed and ported as long as tuned low. For the most part, the smaller enclosure will simply limit low frequency extention to some degree. I've run it in both my 1.5 cu.ft. sealed and 2.6 cu.ft. @ 26Hz ported enclosures with good results. The sub felt great in the ported box which is very near what Sonicraft suggests for their enclosure, although I would suggest keeping the port tune low in the 20Hz to 25Hz range to prevent peakiness of the response. Expect a F3 of around 30Hz, but if you run it in a large enclosure, it will extend down to 20Hz. Sealed, the F3 is 35Hz.

Price is $150 shipped within the US.

Small note, this sub does use Auras much loved NRT motor, hence the naming convention. This is essentially the affordable answer to Aura's technology. It's a great subwoofer. Despite being a poly cone in nature, it is very rigid and well detailed with good usability well above 100Hz and well down into the lower octives. The sub doesn't become bloated or sloppy when played low or pushed either. It offers good efficiency and good output.

Used but as good as new. I am not hard on my equipment. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

The only concern for some is that it is simply a single 4ohm voice coil. Power handling is rated to a mere 300w rms, part of the side effect of being a compact neo motor, but the sub is efficient and does get good output reguardless.

Yeah, the teardrop is a rare sight. It's Aura's neo magnet motor, self-shielded and all. It's a neat motor design from what I hear. I'm not too into the specifics though, however, it's said to be really low distortion with copper both above and below the pole piece. Xmax is a decent 15mm, no clue about Xmech. I know Aura's other drivers have insane Xmech. Even their 3" and 4" midwoofers have 20mm peak to peak throw but only around 4mm Xmax. I doubt the suspension of this sub has insane throw though, as in you won't see 30mm Xmech. :p Now this isn't specifically an Aura's branded subwoofer. They have a couple of their own you can look at on Madisound. However, they're god awful expensive, really good, but expensive. This was essentially a colaboration with Aura to create a budget level sub with the Aura motor under the Sonicraft name(whoever may own them). I came across the specifics before, but I can't re-find the specific info for the life of me. If I can manage to stumble across it again, I'll add it here.

I've heard good things. They would be neat to try out at some point. Their 3" and 4" woofers are really neat, but their site doesn't seem to list those braxials despite being some of their products. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Yeah, I might run one again in the future, but I'm planning to use two other subs for my ghetto home and car setups, my Pioneer PRS and DIYMA subs. I figure when I want to build a nice, 6 cu.ft. box in a future home audio setup, I'll probably run another one of these subs. That might be a couple years from now, and I'd rather let someone else enjoy this sub rather than it just sitting in storage till then.
