seas vs rainbow?

I've never had issues with the older Lotus comps, especially mid's bottoming out (mine were crossed at 85hz with a 12db/oct slope). But of course people are going to have problems with any speaker if they try to install them improperly per the application. I prefer the Seas over any Rainbow offering, and I feel the older Lotus line is comparable to the Ref/Plat line in terms of response. but they don't sound the same. In terms of price vs performance when comparing those lines, the Seas wins hands down. I've never been impressed with the price vs performance of the Rainbow Vand or Profi lines; not saying they’re bad.

Of course you'll be hearing from the Rainbow camp here. I would visit some other forums and listen to them yourself.

Both are great, really comes down to preference and price. I've noticed that the price tag on Seas Lotus has surged recently. They used to look like a great value for the level of quality, now I'm not so sure. But I really doubt either would be disappointing. So which Rainbow sets have you owned?

None. My not so local dealer let me demo the Profi, Plats, and Vands for a month before making my decision. I went with ESB 8000's.

I've had a good amount of listening experience with the Plats/Ref. I have a couple of friends with too much money down here in Palm Beach.
