I cant find much information on the Seas P17REX woofer, how nice is it? How does it compare to the Seas CA18RNX? Im looking for a budget in-car active setup and I found a deal for both bnib (P17REX and Seas 27TBFCG for $50 + s/h)
there's not that much info on the seas p17rex because well not too many have used it. not saying that its not a good woofer but just no one has used it. i'm sure its a nice mid since its from seas //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. as for the tweets, those have had great reviews. go to http://www.zaphaudio.com. he's done a review of those large format tweets.
I am aware that the tweeters are amazing, because Ive read the reviews (they scored #1). Zaphaudio is bookmarked for me and I have been recommending the 27tdfc and 27tbfcg for a while now.
They arent on madisound.com and I didnt want to purchase a set of speakers without knowing how they performed
I can also get a deal on some Audax 8" HM210Z12 drivers, are these worth purchasing for a 3-way active setup?
I am also considering the Max Fi MW160 mids, how nice are these drivers?
Basically, I am purchasing an Eclipse cd8454 in the next 5 days and even though I would absolutely love a set of horns, I cannot seem to find any on any car audio forums on the web and ebay doesnt have any. This leaves me to 2 options, a 2-way or 3-way active setup (will cross the midrange and tweeter off of an amplifier)
My budget is $300-350 (maybe 400 if im running a 3-way and its worth the marginal increase in cost) and I would like the best drivers possible for an active-setup.
