While at my parent's house getting my midbasses together for sale I came across "the stash". In it was a bunch of 2-channel RCA's & one 4-channel, distro blocks, a faceplate case, remote, and a dead amp.
SEAS L18RNX & CDT ES-06 midbass/midrange speakers.
I'm selling both midbasses to fund a new 8" midbass. No other reason. The CDT, IMO, seems to have more accurate punch bass in the 63hz+ range. It did very well IB (in door). The Seas did well, but the punch wasn't as authoritive as the CDT; but the CDT has 100w @ 4ohm RMS rating...maybe that's the difference. I never gave it more power than that. I ran both speakers off a Blaupunkt va4100 each on a single channel.
Comparison:
Seas L18RNX (that are spoken for, but just in case he changes his mind I'm putting them up so I don't have to add to this thread later). When I installed these I used too much clay; green clay. I was worried this ruined them so sent 'em back to Madisound for testing. Adam checked 'em out and sent them back saying everything was fine and that the clay caused no harm to the function. I had one in my passenger's side A/B comparing against a CDT es-06 (see below) since May. That "comparison" wasn't supposed to last this long but I got married and school took over and then work took over...you get the idea. In that time I didn't have any issues with it. Played it at a smooth 50w rms @ 4ohms. It's rated for 100w rms @ 8ohms. Asking $120 shipped.
Clay on spider:
CDT es-06. Read above. Had only one playing in the car since May for A/B testing that turned out to last much longer than I had expected; life gets in the way. Bought from an authorized retailer on CA.COM (djdillion). Authorized; comes with warranty info. Asking $200 shipped. Edit: They can take 160w rms according to the spec sheet here: Specs
Stinger 4-channel RCA's. They go for about $38 shipped on e-bay. Asking $25 shipped.
Rockford 17ft 2-channel RCA. $10 shipped.
