I need a replacement for what i'm currently running. Running ID Oem comps with the Rsd tweets. The tweets are kinda harsh. Need something a little smoother.

Differences between 25 & 29 series?

A breakdown of the features of both?

Thx.

Always thought silk would provide a smoother response. Alums seem to be more accurate on certain intruments with little fatigue I'll give them a try. Appreciate it bud, Thanks.

i guess thats usually true, but this time isn't the case. if you look at the response graphs the aluminum one has a much flatter response. the silk actually has quite a big rise around 8-15K. the aluminum has pretty flat response.

i wasn't a big fan of them when i had them in my pillars(sounded to "in your face"), but once i moved them down to the kicks i immediately loved them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Not true at all. It's personal preference.

The Excel tweeters are typically large format, aren't they? The aforementioned neo tweeters are compact dome. Typically, a large format tweeter has the edge in distortion performance and can play a little lower due to how it's designed. Not always the case, though.
