Last night I saw Grayskul, Sean Price and JMT in boulder. Got there around 8, door opened at 8:30
Once inside I was chillin with my homies up front and center. Soon enough grayskul came out and performed. I haven't heard them before tonight so I am glad they headlined and I got to hear new music.
After they performed Sean P came out. He mainly performed songs off of his jesus price album and BCC. He was def. killin it.
After he performed there was a long wait. During this wait a steady flow of groupies moved from the audience to backstage. Of course obscenities and insults were shouted. around 11:30 we started chanting JEDI over and over. This happened a few times. During this wait the theatre became clam baked with marijuana smoke. I guess the security didn't want a riot on their hands so they didn't really press the issue.
Well the crowd kept getting rowdy from the wait but eventually Jus Allah came out and the crowd went crazy.
This was followed by vinnie paz and about 8 - 10 groupies (they just stood in the background and danced all up on each other through the night)
Wow the energy of the crowd at this point was pretty intense. At one point in order to get the crowd even more pumped up they decided to split the crowd into 2 sides. This was really ****ing cool because since i was up front and in the middle I was the dividing line for the left side and my homie for the right. Vinnie came up to me and says whats good, we snap hands and he says from my man over say "**** THAT SIDE" Jus allah did the same with the other side. this went on a few times and they both agreed our side ended up winning.
Well they continued performing and the crowd got more and more out of hand.
There was some mad moshing going on up front from everyone wanting to be there, but I staked my spot. No way in hell I was gonna give my spot up then be into the thick of the mosh.
It was kind of annoying having to fend off everyone but I figure it was good training for RTB.
About 20 minutes into the set through my homies were no where to be seen. The venue was hotboxed, sweaty and stinky but I was still in my spot. The mosh kept getting progressively out of hand. I remember at one point a security guard ran across the stage and dove into the thick of the mosh, taking control of it. It was the sweetest thing I have ever seen a security guard do.
Right around the middle of their set Sean Price came out and they performed together. Of course this is when my camera died. I had to use my phone to get and more pics and videos, which are shitty quality.
Well after a final song vinnie paz slammed the mic down and made his exit. Now I look back to see my homies about 6 or 8 rows behind me. I LOLed, what n00bs.
We start chanting JEDI over and over again and after 10 minutes of this they came back out. The energy exploded I was going nuts too. They asked for any ladies who wanted to come up and just look good to do so. It was funny because I ended up seeing girls from my old highschool up there.
After they performed some more songs vinnie had the audience say peace in unison and then it was over.
After the show Vinnie P was chillin on the right side of the stage and I went over and met him. I dig his rapor. I wish my camera didn't die so I could of taken a picture with him. he ended up liking the shirt I airbrushed and signed it.
That other signature above his, with the spider and cop shield was from JFK of Grayskul.
When I met him the first thing he said was are you half asian? I was like nah 1/4, then he is like japanese? im like yeah you got it bro. Then he asked me about animation or something and I told him I go to AIC and am getting my degree in it. Well long story short we exchanged info and I'm going to (hopefully) going to be doing some projects with them.
