Sigh.. well today I drove home from school, subs worked for liek 10 minutes... Then... all of a sudden I can't ehar them I pop open seat hte amp seems to work, as the red light is bright, checked wiring. I looked at subs, and they are vibrating, but BARELY. I disconnect the speaker wire for like 5 minutes put it back on, turn music on, and then the subs make a beat tothe music real loud

then real quiet.. I tried screwing with gains and the bass boost. I dunno I tried disconnecting one sub and just keeping one another on. No work. I think amp is broke... sigh

Some amps have red power lights. I assumed this was the situation.... as I'd hope he'd know the difference between power and protect, lol. I would HOPE so atleast.
maybe it was in protect, becuase if he disconnected his subs wouldnt that take it out of protect? then when he plugged them back in they played for a little while then the amp went back into protect.

Well.. There was a smell before. I thought osmething was burning, but I think it was the smell of the wood inside the box of the subs. it can't be the sub itself because I only had one connected tat the time, and other did same as other. the amp smells fine. WELL now theres another problem. My whole sound system is ****ed. I can't hear shit. I rewired the stereo. STill no sound. I think I ****ed up something. I replaced all my fuses nothing helped

Damn dude what a shitty day...... Are you running the other speakers off your head unit? Or Active?

Okay I ahve a KDC MP 428 Deck. I have a infinity amp running the speakers. My speakers are pioneer for the front infinity for rear. I have a KAC 8152D Amp 1100 watts. and the subs are KFC W3003. My deck ran fine with the amp and one sub conncted to it for like a week.. I noticed a smell from something I thought it was just wood from subs, as the sbus weren't hot, and the amp had no smell by it. the radio was fine. Then today the subs work banging, and I raced out of the parking lot, and the subs starting dying in sound, I stopped, checked amp, and the light was dimming I was like wtf. took otu radio, rewired everything, put radio back, still did it. then after like 3 hours my ****ing speakers on the whole left side went out, rewired again, then it was working, THEN ALL went out everything went out except hte power to the amp and radio, no sound. I try grounding it different, tried the P.controller cable. Grounded the amp to soemthign else. rescrewed the amp 4 gauges. I did everythign, im gonna try it again as soon as I get a theory. Its all in a jeep grandcherokee again my system is:

KDC MP428 - Deck

KFC W3003 - 12" 600 watt subs 160 rms

KAC 8152D - 1100 watt amp 550 rms 2 ohm 300 watt 4 ohm

Pioneer 6 1/2 speakers - front doors

Infinity stock - rear doors

Infinity Amp Stock - all speakers.
