Idk if anyone actually paid any attention but I posted a bit back about me getting a new job. This is a kick *** job let me tell you.

Anyone ever heard of covad?

People in FL, CA, NYC, DC, basicly places where there is more people then there is tree's.

We over DSL and T1 to business's, basicly you call me to get it, I set you up explain to you what the benifiets are.

Its sweet cause when no ones calling I can chill on the net talk to the people around me.

agreed, I always hear people talking about how great their job is becasue they dont have to do anything... how is that great? If I'm not doing something for my job, it is boring and very unrewarding for me. Give me something productive to do and I'm extremely motivated and happy to do it...

I had Covad service for quite a while, years ago. Their service sucked and the prices weren't as low as their sucky support. I can't believe they're still in business. I was so happy to dump them for my current DSL provider, who's not only cheaper, but faster (bandwidth), and has tons more features, plus outstanding customer service in all departments I've dealt with. Funny thing is, I think there's a possibility that part of my DSL's network trunk hits Covad CO's.

I sure hope they're better now, but I'd still not go back to Covad unless there were no other choices available.

Hey I know how it is about being at your job and chilling on the net. I am usually at work when I post on here. Right now I am at home becasue I work the **** *** midnight shift. I am a supervisor for security for Kmart distrubution center. I hate it besides being able to talk on here. Besides that it sucks ***. I dont get paid well and shouldnt considering I dont do shit. I miss the days where I could bust *** and be proud of my hard work. Is so rewarding knowing you did a good thing. But I threw out my back about 8 months ago and this was the only job I could get. Times are getting tough and well I am gonna go back to my old job next summer. I dont care if I am in a wheelchair. I am so bored at this god for saking job, lol!

1) How far away from the Central Office are you? The farther you are the slower you are (i summed up the explenation on that)

2) Also we arent ment for "home" use, we are "the leading in small and medium business" so the only product we have for home, is shitty but its just to have our foot in the door of every catigory.

yeah we used Covad then we switched to nmly 10MB and 100MB connections and never bothered with Covad again.

And we dont offer anything passed T1.... so no sense in coming to us

we as in my business. We use to run T1 lines but moved up, your t1s seem to be best effort T1s here in Florida. I cant speak for anwhere else but down here I have yet to see anyone with a T1 form Covad that got full t1 speeds and 99% uptime.

XO communications is the best T1 provider in Miami ATM IMHO. but hey your better than speakeasy and their exodus backbones LOL.

When I was with Covad for home, they were primarily a "home provider". If they couldn't do *that* well, I couldn't imagine putting my company on them.

Again, I'm not saying they still **** at customer service, I'm just saying they sure did when I was with them. Plus, their reliability and BW left much to be desired. Things may be very different now.
