Schools for Networking/ Fiber optics

Ive been looking around at different schools near me and cant really find anywhere that has much to do with what i want. Ill be a senior this year and will obviously need to make up my mind. I was recently thinking id like to work with fiber optics, but cant really find a school that has what i want. I live in PA, and i want to get the hell out of here, but i dont want to move to California or something, i just want out of state. i dont think im really up for the whole tech school idea, but i guess ITT would be where its at huh?

I should probably make up my mind too. one part of me wants to be an audio installer, the other wants to be a network engineer.

Not too much. Depends who you work for or if you do free lance.

Think about it this way, go into something with networking and you can probably find a job that offers benefits, insurance, pension, 401k, all that crap.

Typically, you will not find that an a local audio shop, maybe if you find some major audio installer, but I'd doubt it.

I'd say it would always be better to go into a networking job as opposed to an audio installer job...

But hey what do I know I'm just a junior in HS.

I've checked out a few techincal schools for college... I took a few in classes too, and everybody looks miserable lol... Dunno why. Especially IIT(not ITT).

There is an EE class for fiber optics at my college. If you're just looking for networking, though, you're probably best off at a technical school.

that's the route i'm going to have to take. i'm only good at what i'm interested it, if not, i just don't apply myself.

Which ITT and what for? I think id go to the one in ohio if i ended up doing that, i know a few people that are going there. What college has the EE class for fiber optics? Where is it, whats it called?
