SAT scores

i don't think its right, but the sats more or less reflect your reasoning ability, which is pretty important for most jobs, i dont think they won't hire you due to it, but it may help them decide.

what does knowing what a bunch of big, useless words mean have anything to do with your intelligence?
Becuase we all assume that anybody who uses a lot of big, useless words is really freakin' smart. Duh. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif

990...i feel like an idiot. I felt like i did good and was going to get at least a 1100.

SATs are dumb. It is possible for a complete moron to get a decent score guessing on every single question (i know its doubtfull but there is a chance) then someone who really tries and gets confused by multiple choice questions.

I got an 1140 my junior year but got a 1260 when I retook it my senior year. It helps to take a class in school that teaches you how to take the test.
I took a class for the ACT's. It was a couple of days, including one after a dance. You don't learn much when your hungover. Didn't really get anything out of it anyways.

The classes I meant for given by the high school and lasted the whole semester. I took a sat math prep course and a verbal one as well. The both were graded and counted towards credit. They helped bring my score up over 100pts which is a huge gain. I also got to take driver's ed which counted for a grade/credit and I passed my driver's test there so I didn't have to go down and wait in line.

Oh. D*mn, i wish my high school had classes like that. Eh, oh well. I did good enough to get into the schools i needed to. Whatever.

I got a 1310 on my SAT that I only took once and then my ACT score was a 26 the first time and 27 the second time.

I know plenty of people who were in the 1400 and 1500 range who went to college and couldn't deal with it so they dropped out within the first year. One of my better friends recieved a 1460 or something and now she is working part time at Papa Johns; she uses half her money to pay off debts she has amassed over the last few years and the other half goes to buying weed. Out of the top 10 people in my graduating high school class, I know of 3 who have had mental breakdowns and are back living with their parents.

Test scores only take you so far in life...
