San Diego Area - Need help tuning my system

Had an Alpine iLX-007 installed in my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with (2) 6 1/2" Alpine SPR-60's, (2) 6 1/2" Alpine SPR-60C's, and an Alpine MRV-F300 4 channel amp. I also have a 10" JL Audio subwoofer in custom box and a separate amp for it (can't remember the name of amp).

Basically I'm happy with the install, but the stereo shop did a poor job of tuning the system and after a few tries they still haven't done it right. I don't understand enough to tune it and the amps on my own, but right now when the system is turned down low, I only hear treble and its pitchy, no low tones in voice at all. When its turned up louder it sounds alright, but would like to get a professional to take a look at it.

I'd be willing to pay another shop to simply tune my stereo if I could get a good recommendation. I'm in San Diego, would prefer to have a shop use equipment to tune, not just by ear. Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Its just tuning, play with it yourself because only your ears will be the judge of whats hood and whats not. Dont pay people to do something soo basic and simple.
Trust me I have fooled around with it, downloaded Alpine's TuneIt App, even tried other users' profiles who own Jeep Wranglers like mine. Still sounds like sh** and I am pretty sure it has something to do with the amps, possibly crossover or something thats over my head. I'd really just like a professional to check it out with an instrument like a volt meter or something

not much you can do with a volt-meter, You need an RTA(real time analyzer to see what peak needs to be toned down), even with proper tuning, it could be something wrong with the install. AKA speaker location, wired out of phase, The components have a passive crossover and you can wire it to the -3 db or -6db attenuation setting. Could also be the head unit's internal processor quality along with poor head unit settings.

i appreciate your input. obviously i'm very unsure of what equipment is needed or even how to go about such a task. I'd prefer taking it to someone that knows what they are doing. But thanks again for the advice. If anyone can recommend a Stereo shop that can help tune my radio i'm all ears! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So listen. If you take a step back and just listen for a second, we can have this thing figured out and maybe even fixed. The shop may not have even tuned it, a lot of times they slap it in as is. These things are adjustable from your alpine directly! Get your manual, and find out what your LPF and HPF are set to. The quicker you get past the idea of going to a shop, the quicker we can get your sounds up and running.
