Sa-8's, d2 or d4?

What's the difference between these two? I've read the specs on all of them, but honestly, qes and qs and all that stuff, means nothing in my brain. lol. I'll give you the stats in you haven't seen 'em.

Which one of these is going to be louder? My box is 1.25^3 tuned to 31hz. That's the box I had for my e8's and i'm planning on using it for these once I get them.

Output should be extremely close at a given power... the D2 has a higher motor force factor but the D4 has a lower moving mass. Should pretty well level out in the end.

To explain further... the D2 has "fatter" wire to lower the resistance so therefore is wider in the gap -- meaning more wire is contained within the gap, this increases the L factor of BL. This thicker wire is also heavier.

Since the D4 has "skinnier" wire it has less L but also less mass from the thinner wire.

Pick the coil based on the amp you plan to use.

How many watts could someone run to a pair of these on music daily? I know they are rated at 400rms, but would they live on 1000? I saw the vid of you testing the one on a 1500d.

IMO... 1000 is a bit high long term on them. Depending on box rise an amplifier rated for 1000 watts MAY be okay but I'm not going to recommend it.

When do you think they would run into mechanical limitations? Like what amount of rms? I'm probably going to get one for playing around with. Money is kinda tight right now though.
