Im getting ready to drop an SA12 into my regular cab ranger with a SAZ1000 to push it, has anyone ever tried this combo and how did it go for you?

yes 2 ohm dvc. It will be sealed with around 1.5 cubes

i have never actually built a ported box, I have always rolled with sealed. I dont know if I would have enough room to tune the port though.

yea port it.. will sound like s3x on 1000rms

port it and tune to like 40hz with a 4 inch aero... I had an sa8 tuned to 40hz in 1.2 cubes on 1000 watts daily and it was loud!!! the higher tuning helps in the ranger because rangers have a very high fs.... I think that it is like 60hz...

Get the dual 2 ohm sub and wire it down to 1 ohm, that amp and sub are a nice set up. I prefer the SA subs sealed but they sound great in either enclosure as long as they are made to specs.
