S10 owners get in here

How in the hell are you guys keeping your doors from rattling? My 3rd door is driving me nuts. I can get about half wayway into my system then after that my doors and door panels start making such a racket it horriable. Any tips. I looked at the door catchs' & it doesnt look like thrre is any adjustments.

Some on the inside of the doors but this is the doors latch it self raattling like the hinge is bad. Only the driver side needs new pins. If you push on it and close it harder it helps. The only real way to stop it is to open the dam doors. :/

Only thing you can do is new pins . Latch , and seals Unless you can bolt it closed from the inside

Thats kinda what i was afraid of. I'm gonna deaned the whole cab this spring but I guess I'll add in new rubber and latches to. Like i said the driver side is the only pin thats bad. The passanger and thrid door hinges are really good. Maybe a new latch on the thrid door would help. I really dont want to bolt the dam thing. Hell how could u do that without seeing it anyway. Im worried because the plane has always been to do a blow threw with this truck and if it rattles this bad now.....i can only imagine later.

You'd have to pull the inside panel. And weld a all thread nut 2" long to the door. Then drill a hole thru the. Sheet metal to apply the bolt then hope the panel would fit over it to cover it This would need to be done at the top of the door But not much more you can do. Besides that or weld the door shut. Or a older like 95 cab

I just started on a '98 s10 myself. So far, all I have in is the front channel. When I had the door panels off, I could see my future held many 'o rattles. I need to deaden the whole door, and thanks to chevy ( I mean Isuzu's) design, there are several connector rods inside the door to be individually wrapped in hopes of silencing.

I don't have a third door on this one, which might be a good thing. If it is the hinge pins themselves, I wonder about pulling them out, finding a polyurethane bushing that slips over them, drilling out the receiver hole and reinstalling. Get rid of the metal to metal.

I actually got to looking, and it seems there are bushings in these doors that are prone to wear. Maybe just get a new set to take up any space created from wear.

Is your port on that side??? Or is your box sealed.?
Nope port is on passanger side fireing up. During my box build i read how most put it on the driver side but i was worried about the 3rd door makeing noise. Go figure.
