aright so im a senior right now applying to many different schools. as most kids i want the school to be fun for the most part and just have a good time partying and also get a good education.

what are your guys veiws on like a rural area school compared to city? ive been leaning towards city schools just for the fact that everything is right ther, no having to deal with driving jst hop on a train or bus or subway and do what you needa do.

who has been to what kind of campus and how have you liked it? how was the whole social aspect in a rural/suburb area college compared to a city? ive been to a couple parties in the city for colleges and had a good itme just jumping around, the fact of no need to drive int he city is a big positive.

also i will be going to school for mechanical engineering, most of you will prolly say dont worry about parties and shit and to study, but honestly who does that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif ill prolly get my *** handed to me first year but as with everyone, its just how it goes i will adapt to the new life

I seriously applied to two schools, one in a medium-sized city, and one in the boonies...I ended up going to the one in the boonies. I was just more comfortable with the atmosphere and the campus.

but honestly who does that
The Asians and Indians that are on government grants, get their degrees in three years and go back and make a crapton of money off us...

go to a junior or comunity college first. for a year or at least a semester. you go to college specially with hey im lookin for a party attitude you will get ****ed. seriously. it aint easy. and highschool was easy too. i just blew it off never had a problem and passed with above a 3.0 gpa never givin a **** or doin a **** thing. and in college i have been trying my *** off and still cant do better than c's or d's..... but no on i know in junior college or comunity has that problem. so i say do that. or you will most likely regret it and your parents will hate you for wasting all thier money.

Well I go to the University of Minnesota Crookston. Its a real small school, maybe 1,200 or so students. Its in a town of about 8,000 too. I like it here, even though it does get a little boring at times. It is a very rural school. I'd say 90% of the students are either farmers, hunters, or both and there is a dairy barn right across the street from my dorm. lol.

I like rural schools. I've never been much of a big city kid though.

i go to a small school in a small town, but not quite as small as mattf.

but i live in a town of about 700 and commute about 65 miles each way to school.

so i still win against mattf.

well i already got most of that set then, i bassicially live on my own now anyway, hell i usually dont see my parents more then a couple times a week if that, i cook for myself, shop when needed if needed (moms always outa town) and do what i need ot do without anyone telling me. i like it this way, it is just preparing me for real life.

if you want to party go to a big school

if you want to learn go to a small school

right now i'm at the university of kentucky and i hate it. there are 30,000 undergrads that go here which makes for quite a crowded campus...not to mention your first two years of gen-ed will be spent in classrooms packed with up to 500 students. now that im about to graduate its not so bad, but i would have rather gone somewhere smaller.

yes, people actually do go to school for reasons other than partying.

eh grades are good avg gpa of 3.9 out of all years in highschool and sat wasnt too great ig ot a 1120 on the old scores forget what i got on essay, not all that great tho. i just re took them 2 weeks ago, should get scores soon
