Rule of thumb for a wall

Is it possible to build a wall that'll stop between the b-pillar and c-pillar or will that f something up? I want more space than just a c pillar but want space behind my seats as well so is this common or fail waiting to happen?

That's exactly what I'm going to do in a 04 blazer I finally settled in on the vehicle I'm going to get. I'm doing 4 Alphard sound db-318s in either a fourth or a flat wall. All in a c & 1/2 pillar wall!

makes no diff other than sealing it off will be more difficult....

I did like 3" behind my b pillar in my blazer

Didn't totally seal it off yet but started with spray foam and concrete tube form

When you're tht far behind the pillar, fiberglassing is easiest for sealing it off well
