Ruined?

I pulled the box out of my hatch today to find that there's a hole in the surround. Not sure if it was ripped out or rubbed though from having stuff against the sub while playing. I was wondering if it could be repaired by me or would I have to send it in for repair, in which case it wouldn't be worth it since shipped and repair cost would be more than the $100 shipped I paid for the sub. Good excuse to move up to a 10" I guess...if I can't make the repair myself.

Looks small enough to put some goop on it and it will hold.

I say rip a peice of paper and glue it in place and should be good to go.....

Does duct tape work? I've seen some DC level 5s or something with tape all around the surround. Don't know if that's to help it be more durable or if there's tears in it..

Not really gorilla tape is better. But we use that on burp cars. Just to get thru the show. For long term use. Nothing

Put a little glue on it so it doesn't tear any farther and keep wanging it.

Put some amazing goop on it. It's flexible rubber. I wouldn't use duct tape lmao.

Thats not even closed to ruined, dont waste money and just do a little research first aka google up "tear/hole in subwoofer surround repair"

They actually makes foam surround like patches for problems like this. Let me see if i can find a link and ill send it your way. Plus it looks a lot better. Goop will work fine but the patch really doesnt look bad at all. No worries
