resin,, do not put rubber any thing in a spl ported box hard and smooth is what you want.

edit, if its just a street box it wont help as much as it will with a wall.

you can try the resin and see what the results are,,if possible build two boxes the same,with and without and do a test with them post what you find out.

Rubber is soft. Resin is hard. Soft absorbs. Hard reflects.

i got the port edges rounded... should that be good?? or would resin really help... i have a lil bit of resin just sitting around so it won't really cost me anything

Yes to the first, No to the second.

Although I live in a high humidity area so I like the idea of it for protecting the mdf.
