Rockford fosgate punch pro 12 box help

I need some help with a box for this sub http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/library/datasheets/spp-124_128-ts.pdf right know it's in 1.5 cu ft tuned to 28hz with 2 3'' round ports and some poly fill. I am using it for home theather use but it just don't sound right i think the box is too small. if any one can design a box or help me out that would be great.

What exactly do you feel doesn't sound right? Too peaky? Not enough low-end? That'll help determine what needs to be done to help get the sound you want. For what it's worth, that sub isn't a great candidate for home audio if you want powerful explosions and such.

Yea it's a little peaky and i would like it play lower but for a old school rockford car sub with a fs of 31hz it sound pretty good, a lot of ht subs have a fs of about 20hz or so lol.

If you do 2.5ft^3 and keep the port lengths the same you can have a 22hz tune.
