I currently own/use a 2004 Rockford Fosgate power T5002 and have been experiencing a loud rattling noise from the gray amplifier "covers" on the front side of the amp. I have already fixed the removable cover noise by simply installing some round felt cut-outs to the underside of the cover which causes the cover to have to be compressed to screw it back down. Now I have realized the gray cover above the removable cover is rattling as well.
I called RF and they instructed me to dismantle the amp as to remove the top cover and bend the tabs to cause a more compressive fit. They claimed only a few of the power series amps from this time suffered this problem (yeah right). I was just wondering if anyone has had similar issues and what was done to fix this problem. I just don't want to take this amp apart, bend the tabs, and still have the same issue. Thank you.
