Rockford Fosgate P300.1 Amp

I am looking into buying a Rockford Fosgate P300.1 amp with a Rockford P3 sub. Is it true that the amp is rated at around 1000 watts and is this a good setup.

It will do around 350 watts RMS. That's not enough power for a P3...fyi.

This is true. I have a p3001 it is rated about 380 Rms.

don't look at max or peak ratings. look at rms. the amp is conservatively rated 300 rms.

no. JL 500/1 is what you want because of the ohm load you will be getting with the P3 being a dual vc

I have a p3001....and i had it pushing two p3's...and it thumped pretty well, actully hit 139.4 on windshield with it, in a prefab shitty box

you can get a 300.1 for a good 90 bucks so its not bad. i would run a more powerful amp though

I would use my t500.1bd over the p300.1 any day to one P3. I got it running to p2's in stock prefab box. Why under power?

Oh, BTW! That P300.1 is not close to what the T500.1bd will do, and the T500.1bd is more match and more to 2 P2's and 1 P3.
