Rockford Fosgate P2D4-12 vs. Memphis MClass 15-MCP12S4

Narrowed my search for new subs down to these two...anyone have an opinion on which is better? I would buy a matching amp to whichever brand i choose...memphis would cost about $75 more but might be worth it

Ive dealt with both brands before. Currently I am rocking 2 M3 12's and they can take a beating. I would not even say they are on the same scale as the P2's, maybe and I mean maaaaaaybe to the P3's. You get what you pay for and there is a reason why you see a lot of RF P series subs on ebay or CL and not much Memphis. Not to mention that Memphis equipment holds their value longer. Memphis amps are highly praised from many people. I have a 16-MCD1000 that keeps on ticken and is a workhorse. Older style Memphis amps are pretty kick a55 too.

My friend has P1's with a decent amp and enclosure and they really sound great...very clean and loud enough...I just don't wanna spend all this money and find out it's not what I was expecting. But i definitely wanna one up my friend haha

P1s aren't great honestly..

I recommended some woofers on caf I'd suggest..

The Memphis woofers aren't bad but I'm sure you can do better..

You can do much better. How much $ per sub are you trying to spend. If you think that P1 is good your in for a treat.

i'd say about 200 each for the subs...if a grand is my budget and it looks like i'm gonna need to spend at least 500 for a good amp, enclosure and install

A single 15 would do nicely.

They are efficient as well so a solid 1200 will do it justice..

I'd prefer 2 12's to a 15...but i've heard very good things about the soundstream amps. I looked at the AA chaos 12's but after shipping that takes most of my budget out
