I'm running one of each in my car currently. Both do above rated, the fosgate does way above rated power and is one ohm stable. I would choose fosgate first.

I would look for a rf 1000bdcp I have seen them used for about the same price as these new and you will get your power regardless if you go 1 or 2 ohms(if you add another sub later). the alpine is supposed to be 1 ohm stable but at reduced power.

The power series is all hype. Look closely and you will see it makes less power at 2ohm and you pay it back in horrible efficency.

It is suppossed to be the same power 1 or 2 ohms and of course you lose efficiency at 1 ohm. 1000x1@2ohms and 1000x1@1ohms unless you are talking about dynamic power (which is useless) but 96watts? you wouldnt even be able to hear the difference. Another cool feature is it adjusts voltage for fluctuating impedences so your power remains constant.
