Dre beats are over priced, bassy and not a good buy for their price. If you want some good quality headphones and looking to drop that kinda cash on some headphones, Look into Ultimate Ears Super.Fi Pro5(Rock Edition) or even the Triple.Fi series. I currently am rocking the Super.Fi5 pros and cannot be more happier with their sound signature. That IEM mixed with Comply Foam tips = win. Also, I never have to turn the volume up anywhere near 50% due to them having noise isolation from the comply foam tips. If you are not looking to spend that kind of cash they have some cheaper models like the Metro.Fi series which are decent. I also have a pair of these for working out as I do not want to chance damaging my Super.Fi's. They are even nice with the bass. If you want something with a little more Umph with the base, check out i want to say they are called Astrick or astro. Dah, i can't remember but Head-fi reviews say they sound great with really bomb bass. Although, the other week I forgot my IEM's at home and i was going to be at school all night so i grabbed a pair of 20$ Sony Bumpin Buds and I must say i am really impressed with the quality for how cheap they are. The Bass in these really knock and they claim they will go down to 6Hz. They are a tiny bit harsh with the highs but it's really not that bad. I would deff recommend these if you just want to have something to get you by. The chord could be a little bit more beefy but other than that they are fine.
