I am assuming that when setting up the 3Sity.1 and then running the OEM Integration..... its best to just go ahead and let the it SUM the subwoofer channel to get a full range signal to send to the amplifier. The reason I came to this assumption/confusion was because I really didn't know what the hell to do when it came to taping into the OEM/factory dedicated subwoofer wires that I would route to the high level input connection on the 3Sity.1. Obviously there poses the problem because the Bose OEM subwoofer is a dual voice coil and therefore has 4 wires. Well, the 3Sity.1, as you know, only has a positive (+) and a negative (-) avail for input.
I have really gone back and forth with this because I read the 3Sixty manual about how although I can sum all channels to produce a full range signal with only a left and right input.....BUT it then strongly reccomends inputing all channels appropriately if at all possible. So, that's were I am at and I would LOVE and HIGLY APPRECIATE any and all feedback or help someone could give me on this issue. I honestly don't know why suming the channels would not be the preffered/Ideal option assuming that I don't care too terribly much about losing ablility to use the fader option?
Oh, and one last thing.... I read in one scenario under the troubleshooting guide for the 3Sixty that if a balance issue exists where the sub will only play at full left or full right....THEN it was recommended to go ahead and use the Center Channel in addition to the Sub Channel which would basically assign voice coil a channel. HOWEVER, I didn't feel too good about sending to seperate channels into one subwoofer channel on my mono amp for my single 12, and also I then thoght of the Y-adapte but then continued reading as to how that a "NO-NO" since it duty is to SPLIT a signal and NOT COMBINE one, which totally makes sense. So, after I ruled wiring it this way.... I am at a total loss and am at a point where I hope the best answer is to just let the device sum that channel.
Please Help.... any input/advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
