I've been looking into picking up a road bike of some sorts I have a ironhorse Mt bike right now its not bad to tool around on but need some to be able to but some mileage on maybe

I love the lighting in all of your pictures, very good photography.

keeps the bike simple. low maintenance, and lightens it up.

so wouldnt you want to use that on the road? I thought i read someone's post on here stating they wanted a single gear bike for the trails? I guess they would be flat trails, but when i hear trails i think mountain bike.

you can use single speed or fixed gear bikes for any kinda riding. depending on the gear ratio.

I use a fixed gear road bike for long distance riding.

I have another fixed gear with a different gear ratio for around town riding,

my brother uses a single speed mountain bike, with a gear ratio for off road, hill etc.

also note, fixed gear, you can not coast like you can with a single speed.

Good lord there's some ugly *** fixed gear conversions in here. Do like that affinity, though. I just commute too much for something that aggressive.

If you're looking for a road bike to keep up with your road bike training buddies, get a geared bike. With the lack of gears, you'll probably get dropped on long rides because of the lack of gear options.

For commuting, and getting around town, I love riding fixed gear. It's just more fun to me than riding a freewheel and multiple gears.

I've ridden bmx for like 5 yrs., i get hookups from a local shop and a clothing company called evolved athletics. trying to get a fixie soon though! (yes i hand painted the rims )
