RLP12 or Fi Q 12"(power related)

I'm stuck between these two subs. I ran an RLi10 in my last car and really liked it but now I have more room and want a 12.

My question is if I want to keep the power down closer to 500 watts rms would it be a waste to get the Fi Q 12 and I should get the rlp12? Or do the Fi Q's still perform well with less than 1k watts.

My reason for staying lower in power is that I don't want to mess around with batteries, caps, alternators. I just want an excellent(SQ wise) sub that can pound hard as well. I've just read how great the Fi Q's are and was thinking of giving them a try.

Thanks in advance!

p.s. this is in a daily driver, don't compete. Small enclosure, about 1 cube.

I would go with the RLP 12, I have the FI Q 12 with 1500 watts on it and it sounds great but it never has overextended. I just think that the RLP could hit full excursion with 500 watts and the FI q would not.
