Rl-s

You crazy cats.. all the information you're going to need about these drivers is in the 'sticky' threads at the top of the baddest forum in all the land //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
WTF man....my protos displace A LOT more air than your production model...mine have about 10mm more Xmax....

WTF are your enclosure sized so big for the 15? I relize the reasoning behind the lard ported (to get a flat response=huge box+tune low) BUT TEN CUBES SEALED???????? During testing, Mike (not you) and myself have both found that the deep bass output is significantly higher around 3 cubes total...BUT...of course thats with 2000Wrms ++++ on them....Is this why??? Because you RMS is only 1000W???

Cause I mean...SDP himself told me to run 2.5 net sealed per 15" with my current power...(5000Wrms for pair)

Explain a bit if you can...

Heh, well the simplest way I can put it is that the drivers are different. As I was not as actively involved with the TC crew back when SDP was helping them get your proto version of the LMT out, I do not feel comfortable commenting about the differences. Once Thilo, head engineer at TC, returns from China in about 10 days, I will inquire as to the specifics. The enclosure simluations we have done so far are aimed at 1000 watt power feeds, but that alone should not lead to the discrepancy in optimal enclosures that we are seeing. Please keep in mind that I only got my hands on a final version of this driver less than one week ago, so it is going to take some time to proceed with more real-world testing. As has been evidenced by my other drivers, modelling from the Thiele-Smalls is often strange and not necessarily optimal, hence the disclaimers on our Preliminary Specification document. Patience, and I'm sure you will see that the enclosure recommendations will tighten a bit - but I will confidently state that these drivers are not optimized for small boxes.

2.5 net on a 15"?... not on an RL-s15 if you know what's good for ya! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I'd go 2.5 net on an RL-p15 though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Uhhhhhhh when's the review coming out?
What would you like to know? So far I have tested it in 4 different boxes....

I was waiting till tonight to post up info so i could add pics (at work now).

I think alot of people are dying for a first glance review. I just want to know if the sq really does hold up at peak output, such as the technology is supposedly designed for.

I also want to know how loud it gets compared to spl oriented speakers.

But I'll wait for you to post your review thread tonight.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif the box is not practical enough for my application. Wonder how this thing would be for HT.

Definitely geared for home theater my friend! Who wants to put an extra 50 pounds of metal that requires a medium to large box in their car anyway? Funny thing is, I bet most of the people who buy this thing will be using it for their ride //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

PS. Webpages are online (few minor bugs but fully functional all the same):

10CF box...c'mon, I thought this was a large box driver //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Two would fit very nicely...

i know Bums who live in smaller boxes in that.

10 cubes is huge, just because you can fit it, dosent mean its not gigantic.
