rl-p vs. CVRs

i know this is a weird comparison to make so let me explain. i jsut got an rsx and i put my 2 12'' CVRs in there. its more then loud enough for me, sometimes too loud (yea im soft with bass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif ). so i was wondering how would 1 15'' rl-p compare in output to 2 12'' CVRs. the CVRs are getting 300 rms a piece and the rl-p would get 600 rms. the rl-p would be in a ported box tuned to 30-32 hz.

Are the CVR's ported or sealed ?

The RL-p will definetly have the edge in SQ, CVR's arent known for sounding amazing.

You have more cone area with the CVRs. I would say get them.

Sounds like your leaning more towards sq if you dont like it bass heavy go with the one 15 sealed.

Besides if you dont like it you can always put your cvr's back in.

This is the manufacturer of the rlp. This sub is the rlp's little brother. I would take 1 of these over 2 cvr's.

thats what i used to think but too much money. id have to get a new amp becuase mine runs at 2 ohm and they only make mags in dual 2 ohm. and then 500$ is a little much. i think ill just get a 15'' rl-p and try it out

I think you'll be more than satisfied with a the 15" RL-p. If you're not too fond of excessive bass, put the RL-p 15 in a 2.0 NET sealed box.
