I know theres a threat about building a box for the same exact sub right now but it seems to be more about sealed and I have questions about my specific car. I Want to go with a ported box and in my car I have alot of space to use would it be bad to go really big like a 5 cu ft box or shud I stick with the recmonded size? Should I do circle ports or a simple slot type port and if circle how do I make them? Also should I mount the sub vertical to the back of the car or horizontal to the trunk lid? The trunk lid way would have more room in front of the sub...

id do around 3.5 cubes, and tune it to 30.

id use 3 - 4'' aeroports, and fire the sub upwards, then the ports to the rear or the passenger side.

id do around 3.5 cubes, and tune it to 30.
id use 3 - 4'' aeroports, and fire the sub upwards, then the ports to the rear or the passenger side.

I understand what the tuning to 28 30 ect. hz does but I dont understand how? Do you tune by changing the port hole size?

x2 I hear thats the best for overall good response and still getting loud in a car. 5 cubes is way to big IMO maybe 3.0-3.5 tops.

alright so Ill aim for 2.8 tuned at 28... does anyone have any build plans for this set up with circular ports? im gonna attempt to make some on paint see if u guys agree haha

eh its to hard hahha.. does it matter where the circular ports are? Also I dont know how big and long to make the circular ports... thanks
