So my car is a 4 lug. And all the cars that i have my eye on as a next potential car are all 5 lug.. i've seen some rims that had several holes on display, but can you get them like this? so they are universal?

i like far advance when i buy stuff because i like to keep my stuff for awhile thats why i already looked potential cars in my future.

Short answer: no

Long answer:

You can get wheels with more than one bolt pattern, but I have never seen a wheel with more than two, and it's always the same amount of holes (IE, it will have 5x100 and 5x114.3).

Also, bolt pattern is not the only thing you need to worry about when picking a wheel. You also need to match offset, backspacing, etc. So even if you get a dual-bolt-pattern wheel, the odds of the other necessary specs transferring seamlessly would be pretty slim. Especially if you're looking to switch up the number of lugnuts.

The only way you might be able to do something sort of like this is if you got a 3-piece wheel. That way you might be able to just switch out the center when you get a new car instead of having to buy a whole new wheel. However, IIRC, 3-piece wheels are pretty expensive and might even be more expensive than just buying two sets of wheels for two different cars.

Hope that helps
