Just as the title suggests, looking for a sub that will get loud as a banshee, pound low and still have just a lil SQ.

I have a PA A2400DB to work with right now but will upgrade after I get the sub.

My current subs are 2 x 12" Typer R's in a 4ft^3 slotport box tuned to 35Hz and it sounds pretty good in the SQ department and SPL is ok I guess but nowhere near what I was expecting.

So...RF T215 vs DD 3515 vs SI Mag 15 vs 06 Kicker L715?

I can get the DD 3515 for $400 BNIB shipped from DD them selves or the RF T215 BNIB for a little over $500 shipped or the SI Mag BNIB for a little over $500 shipped or the 06 Kicker L715 BNIB for a little over $250 shipped.

Money isn't the deciding factor, just want to get loud as a banshee while retaining a lil SQ but SPL is more important.

I will buy one sub and power from my PA A2400DB then when I get more money I will buy a second sub and sell my amp to get money towards a better amp with more wattage.

1995 Olds Cutless Cierra 4 dr sedan.

It's what I must work with right now until I can afford a ford explorer or some other car.

I hate boxes in my trunk beuase it just don't get loud enough and there is no possible way I could fit two 15's in a ported box in my trunk so right now I have mine secured in the backseat with 2 x 12" Type R's.

Iknow the box in the backseat is ghetto but there is deffinately a difference in loudness in the backseat vs the trunk.

I know it is all install/vehicle dependant too so please don't go raggin' on me.

Is it one of the oldsmobiles with a metal plate seperating the trunk from the cabin?

Yes, but mine doesn't. I took a grinder to it.

You can do two 15s sealed or two 12s ported or three 12s sealed. Push them to the back and face the cabin and it will do well. Facing the rear = no good. I drive an 89 so I feel ya on the 3.5s. I built door pods but I am not happy with them. PM me if you have any specific olds questions regarding car audio.

Hmm,metal plate..IDK bout that, there is a metal crossbar dealio (looks like a wierd X) against the back of the backseat and there is a Meatal deal for the rear deck.

Why?

if they are wouldnt be by much.....spl isnt so cut and dry without testing but at any rate whats the point of just being loud if you are using it as a daily driver?

Umm read the first sentence in the first post I made..and the 6th sentence in the first part of this thread.

Do you guys think that 2 15's sealed would be louder then my 2 12" Type R's ported at 35Hz?
then why make a comment like this? want to be loud port it and use alot of power no secrets there. whats more important is how it works/sounds to you. so you have to come to the point of doing it for what youy want or dont do it at all because the changes wouldnt be night and day unless its the quality of the sound
