RF POWER T8004 or SS TARANTULA 500/4?

i have a set of BA SL-80's in the front and a set of BA PRO 50's in the rear, my current amp is a 3 year old RF 600.4, its worked pretty good, put enough power to them, but the amp has been cutting out alot lately, and then about 3 days ago it cut off all together, it finally powered back up, i thought it was a power issue, but i checked everything, ran my REAL old eclipse 800.4 and it works fine...i re-connected the RF and now its making that clicking noise once the volume is raised a bit and then it dies after awhile...

so i was looking to get a new amp, i was trying to narrow it down, i looked at the RF T8004, seems like a good amp for this application. and it turns out i can get a decent deal on this amp through a friends cousin. but i wanted to get some epinions first and find out if there might be a better solution, im willing to spend upwards of $5-600 if its a decent amp, and keep in mind it will be used on a daily basis, so i wanted something reliable...
