I had a power 1000 That thing was a monster. Nowhere near as efficient as the bd1500.1 but put out a crap load of power. I would have to say if you ran it at the reccomended impedence it was the closest.
But to really be honest amps that size were not around . There just wasn't a need for that kind of power. And class A, and AB are not the most efficient monsters in the world.
