Reuse dynamat?

I just got dynamat put in my trunk and then my car decided to die in a vartiety of facets. Anyways I am getting another car and am wondering if anyone has ever transferred dynamat (or second skin, etc.) from one car to another. And if so, any tips on how to make sure it will remain sticky after putting it on another trunk lid.
