Differences from copper to aluminum. Different spider landing, all spiders are sandwiched instead of having a gap in between 2 layers.

Also the former seems to be taller. This will make it so you can't put the strengthening disk back in but there is no need.

Recones turned out nice. Not to happy with the chem reaction on the dust cover though. Will call and talk to DJ about that. At first I thought it was the activator so I let the dust cap glue over night and still had the same result. aaaarrrrggghhh!

I heard these were a pain in the *** to recone.... is it easier with the aluminum coils VS. the copper coil soft parts.

Personally I think they are a breeze! Hardest part is cleaning the basket and getting down inside the pole to clean any debris.

Both r the same as far as whats easy or harder. the only hard part on the copper that I've heard people complain about is matching up the screws around the spider ring. Well subs are in car and sealed back up with the box again and I'm very pleased. Haven't metered it yet. Plan on letting these break in a day or two before I go for gold!

Audibly louder and moves more air than before if thats any indication. We shall see.
