The Liddel vs. Ortiz fight was not that good IMO...the ref stopped it too soon...of the shots Liddel threw while ortiz was on the ground, right b4 the tko, like 2 connected the rest were blocked even tho ortiz was in the fetal position...i dunno

i wanted Chuck to win but it wasnt a very good fight at all...

Plus there were 2 upsets in my opinion Leben getting choked out and Forrest getting dominated...

The fights were alright at best...good thing me and 6 others threw down money to make it cheaper on each of us...

The fight is stopped when one fighter cannot intelligently defend himself. I personally would not call curled up in the fetal position covering your face intelligently defending yourself.

If anyone can get Chuck on the ground and keep here there long enough for a little (alot of) pounding, I think they could have a good chance in taken Lidell out.

But going toe to toe, Lidell is the man.

Rampage Jackson beat Liddell in both, ground and standing. And Jackson is a wrestler.

I think it would be different though, but I'd still give Jackson a 55%/45% split over Chuck, even though I want Chuck to win.

As for the ending of the Ortiz/Liddell fight, I also vote it was ended too early, BUT... 5-10 more seconds of tired Ortiz in fetal position would = Ortiz rendered unconscious anyway. Ref just stopped the beating early. In the 3rd round Ortiz didn't have the energy he had in the 1st to keep Liddell at bay. That is whY I believe ref called it.

Edit: watched the vid again, the problem was that in the 1st round, Ortiz had his legs to help keep distance, so the ref saw that as an avenue. The 3rd round pounding, Ortiz got his legs curled over, so he couldn't keep distance.
