well. whatever you do. port the **** thing. it will be loud and sound great. i was very impressed with the SPL of ported when i switched to the dark side

So you had a sealed box before? How big was it? Did you notice any difference between sealed and ported other than the sub getting louder?

sealed was .5.~.6ft^3

ported is ~1.2ft^3 @ 37hz.

spl is about twice as good

sq is the same (to my ears)

it got CONSIDERABLLY louder. i can beat (with a single 10) most peopls sealed dual 12 systems. only one i cant be is 2 12" audiobahns getting ~500 each in a small sealed box. but they sound like a wet fart, so i beat the hell out of them SQ division.

ported is (in my oppinion) the only way to go for me- from this day forward.

And now that I look, how much did you pay for that Directed 1100d amp? Dang, it's like 650+ everywhere I look! Why would you drop so much change on am amp?

go to ebay, you can usually grab a used/refrub for 250-300
