Repairing Leather Rips - do these kits work?

ve got some BIG rips in the side of my passenger side seat, theres like (3) 4" cuts, and one 2" cut. Its on black leather, and its pretty visible. Finally came to my mind to check if there was an easy DIY. SO I searched ebay, and came across these 2 repair kits.

Would either of them work long term? Where the rips are, arent really heavy ware places at all. But Id like it to be almost invisible if possible. I dont know how much each kit can fix and if one kit would even be enough for these rips

Any tips of preferred kits?

they sell the repair kits at most local auto parts stores Auto Zone, Pep Boys, O'Reilly's, NAPA ect.

Is there ones that works the best though? Ive never seen one personally, but Im in canada, no Autozone, pep boys. I do have a Napa, but its pretty tiny hole in the wall

I never thought of that, simply putting a piece of leather/linen underneath the leather where the rip is, and gluing the leather back down onto the piece below it.

There would be a seam, but it wouldnt be ripped.

Would quality superglue hold well?

there really is no good way to fix it other than reupholstering it.

yup all the repair kits do not work

they may work for a bit but they fall apart

good if you are selling the vehicle

I've sold the first kit you listed at work quite a bit. Not sure how well it actually works, but I haven't had anyone come back and complain yet. You can pick it up at Canadian Tire for $15.

those kits dont work for ****, i used them. It held for about two weeks, but was pretty visable and then it just ripped open again. Just get your seats recovered. Or buy a whole seat from a salvage (cheaper)

Install a zipper in the rip. Make it look like it belongs there.

Never even seen my car in any junkyard, possibly might find one online... $$$

Zipper wouldnt work, the cuts go different directions
