Well today Ive just learned that the cone has seperated from the surround on one of my DB690. I was wondering the speaker cone has stoped playing all together and all I hear is the tweeter. Getting seperated from the surround would stop it from playing alltogether and not just crappy playing right? If so I wanted to know how much would it cost a shop to fix it and would it be worth it. Or should I just go buy some new speakers. Also....what is the life expectancy on 6x9 speakers. Ive only had these for a year and this has happened. I never turned my HU up past the max RMS point but kept it pretty close during play times. IE max is 40 and usually I play between 25 and 36 volume. Will I have to keep replacing speakers yearly????
