Repairing a Rainbow Vanadium 10"

Hi, just got my hands on a rainbow vanadium 10" sub, but it arrived with a broken basket. Its the top ring the rubber is glued onto, only a section of it though. Could i jb weld it and rely on the enclosure to hold it all together?

Tell me about it. Nope, the seller recons it was shipped from germany in the same box, so e cant see why t would be damaged now. However that piece you can see thats missing was not in the bag the sub was wrapped in, so im thinking hes full of ****. However, i dont want to get a refund as i got a really good deal, if i return it, im looking at £400 for a new one instead of the £150 i paid for this.

I was also thinking about making an aluminium ring to go round the bottom to support it.

How much and is it possible to get a new basket for this?

honestly, you could take it too a buddy, have him tig weld it, then jb weld it, and assuming its a lower power woofer, be okay. MAYBE
