Heck no, I've got a mono reverb with a little chrome knob... looks just like an amp reverb!Cool stuff... OK, it was my father's.. :p But I got into car audio around 1991 or 1992, same time I bought my first car at the ripe age of 17.. a 1973 VW Beetle (that's still in my garage, been customizing it - disassembled - for like 8 years.. hehe Like every hobby I obsess into, I picked up every single copy of any car audio mag possible that I passed by.. and at that time there were only three: Auto Sound and Security, Car Stereo Review, and Car Audio and Electronics. I've got boxes, I never threw one out. My first systems were quite funny, I didn't know anything, and didn't have enough cash to keep skateboard decks under my feet, much less put together a system into a car that I could hardly afford... But there it was... "SALE OF THE CENTURY!!!! A travelling flea market coming SOON to a convention center near you! Pullout Head Units for $19! 1000 watt amplifiers for $45! 12" subwoofers for $19! Kenwood, JVC, Pioneer, Alpine, Orion and more!" ..hehe.. most of it fell into the "and more" category... At any rate, picked up a Mobile Authority amp that was about the size of a pack of cigarettes for like $20... it claimed it was 20x2 (so I can imagine what it really was!)... And I don't even remember, I got some 8" box with piezo tweets in it.. and a handle on top! My first real subs though were MTX Road Thunder II's... local shop had them here for cheap, like two 10's for $40 or something. And they were quite good, for the money. And VW Beetles get **** loud with hardly having squat in there, so it was good. At least for back then. "Hmm wait... yep, I think I feel the seat vibrating a little! Woohoo! Man have I got some bass!"
