ok i bought a 30 amp auto relay.....it says it needs to be powered ......how do i power it......i understand the spots to input remore wire and ground......but in the end i want to run 4 amps off of this relay.....how do i split the output? and how do i power this thing?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

you need power from another source. you could run a line from the batt, or another power source that has enough power.

then you may* be able to split that 4 ways. I don't know i have seen people do a relay for each amp too.

basically you need to use common sense guy.

if you have a fused distrobution block like many people do, go ahead and tap into that. if not? you could run a 12 guage wire with a fuse to the relay.

as far as the output for the amps, you need to hook 4 14~16 guage wires long enough to reach each amp to the output side. or you could daisy chain one wire to the first, then from that terminal, another wire to the next amp, and so on.

if you seriously cant figure that much out, you should not be installing amplifiers.

i honestly did not think about tapping into the dist block....thats how ill power it, so i can just split 4 wires off of the relay to the amps......im just makin sure im not gonna do any harm to amps or hu

just do it like the picture shows.

you can daisy chain it, or tap 4 individual wires right from the relay post. you can put all 4 wires into the end of a quick connect female terminal, or you can solder them all.

there are several ways to go about doing this- just use your brain to solve problems //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

AND MAKE SURE YOU FUSE THE POWER WIRE TO THE RELAY!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

nope thats not really nessicary since the relay wont use any power from the headunit, but if you wanna throw a 2amp inline right where your remote wire exits the HU (at the end of the stock HU harness is fine) and then go on with your remote thats perfectly OKAY.

yup hope you get it right. good for you knowing that you should use one instead of busting your headunit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
